A review of the Love*Rulz DVD

The DVD came in the mail in a brown envelop addressed by hand by the poet, splashing upon the shores of my overly busy life.  Putting the disc in the player and submerging beneath the headphones, life slowed down, the subtleties and nuance and layers once again revealed.  This poetry does have an impact.  This is breathtaking, gorgeous poetry, not in an overwrought or elaborate sense, but in a way that creates a simple and clear montage of image and phrase that embraces and nurtures.

Delivered through breathless voice and gorgeous image, Love*Rulz connects to a deeper experience.  Sublime, reverent, simultaneously worldly and otherworldly, the images wash over your consciousness rooting you in the human experience while the delicious words tickle the intangible into your eyes' corners.  This is the loving visual and aural embrace of a poetic sage.

Experience our connection with the "Singing*Waters", at once in contrast and in harmony with awesome power and languid serenity.  "Beauty" explores what it is to be the fortunate book held in her beloved hands and engaged in communion with her exquisite mind.  "Open" builds an image of the perfect day, one in which we feel our connection and consciousness and triumph intently.  Even "Silence" can take form in Visual Impact Poetry.  These are a few of my favorite selections from this beautiful DVD.

I think destiny will see and hear what this poet does so very, very clear.

Bonus materials include a tour of the Broken*Stone Studio, the realm of the artist and poet.  The grounds of the realm are replete with organic constructions of timber and stone and path.  A scarecrow speeds through on a rusty bicycle.  Cats prowl.  Statuary observes in austere silent reflection.  One gets the sense that the realm is the embodiment of visual impact poetry.  Bonus material also includes a visual tour of the artist's rustic, organically hewn sculpture works, as well as a scrolling display of wise and wonderful quotes from sages modern and ancient.
